Prompt Response is a great big writing party—and like the best parties, you’ll always leave with a story. Thanks to everyone who joined us live! If you didn’t make it, watch the recording above and/or read on for what we have so far, and how you can participate before the next event at 8 PM ET on Monday, March 9th.
Help us grow Prompt Response by subscribing and restacking! We absolutely enjoy engaging with you all, either live on the air or through our subscriber chat. Let’s do more of it!
Prompt Responses from Last week:
The great thing about Prompt Response is that you can still participate, even after the live event has ended. We kicked off the night by reading another banger by Wendy Russell and learning something about Maori culture along the way. The story is based on the prompt: “Usually, the beast in the water slept. But tonight, something had provoked it.” You can read it, along with the rest from the last session, here:
This Week’s Prompt Responses:
We wrote a lot of great stories live this week! Head on over to the Episode 6 thread to read some real weird stuff from Wendy Russell, Jay Wilcox, and Andrew Thomas’s oldest son, Clyde. The prompt was a mashup: “genre: Western... sexy vampires... alien potatoes, antiestablishment,” and our bonkers stories can be found here:
Prompts for Next Time (respond!):
Feel free to drop your prompt response in the Episode 6 thread, or post it to your publication and link to this post. If you have any other wild ideas during the week, feel free to share those, too, and we’ll see you next time!
